The Cultural and Sports Association of Friends of Vilarinho das Quartas organized a cleaning action at Várzea, in Soajo, with the objective of "returning dignity and care to a place that reflects the local heritage and community". The initiative counted on the participation of volunteers and community members in general.
The action received support from various entities, including the Municipality of Arcos de Valdevez, the Parish Council of Soajo, the Common Lands and various local associations. During the cleaning, various wastes were collected from the area.
The work carried out allowed to reinforce "the beauty of the place", which is located on the banks of the reservoir. The initiative sought to enhance this space as an important part of the heritage and identity of the local community.
