The 28th São Paulo International Book Biennial begins this Friday (4th) at Anhembi District, in the North Zone of São Paulo. The event brings together 269 exhibitors across 86,000 square meters of space, representing a 28% expansion compared to the previous edition. The programming, which runs until September 13th, features nearly 3,500 hours of activities and expects to welcome over 700,000 visitors.

The event is organized by the Brazilian Book Chamber (CBL) and RX Brasil. Under the theme "A Festival of Emotions," the Biennial will feature 11 cultural spaces, including the Ideas Salon, the Cultural Arena and the Children's Space.

Among the programming highlights are authors Alice Oseman, Raphael Montes and Socorro Acioli, who will be present at the Cultural Arena, a space dedicated to the most anticipated authors of the event.

Two new features mark this edition: the Artists' Alley, dedicated exclusively to comics, and the Health and Well-Being Space, which will focus on discussions about physical and emotional health topics.
