Light reinforced its operation for the coming months with a focus on prevention and reduction of the impacts of extreme weather events on power supply. The company is advancing actions from its 2026/2027 Summer Plan given the forecast of more severe weather conditions associated with the El Niño phenomenon, preparing the electrical grid to face periods of heavy rain, heat waves, and strong winds.
Among the measures adopted are the advancement of preventive maintenance services, reinforcement of meteorological condition monitoring, and expansion of the operational structure to increase response capacity to any occurrences. The company stated that it expanded, starting in September, the number of technicians at its Integrated Operations Center (COI), responsible for monitoring and coordinating operations.
