Among the most awaited moments is the Majestic Procession of Triumph, which for over 130 years has been making its way through the streets of the city and brings together thousands of people. This manifestation has significant historical and cultural dimension, and a candidacy for Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity has been prepared.
Mayor Francisco Lopes also highlighted the return of those who live abroad and the arrival of visitors, stating that until September 9 the local traditions will be celebrated, allowing people to reunite with friends and family and welcome all visitors.
