Going to Rock in Rio? Find out how to get to the event venue, which starts this Friday

oglobo3 September 2026 at 15:36

Rock in Rio starts this Friday, September 4th, and will happen over seven days at the City of Rock. The event promises to be an exciting encounter with lots of music, lights, and pyrotechnics.

During the festival, there will be blockades around the venue, with private vehicle access allowed only for accredited residents. The recommendation is to avoid going by personal car or ride-hailing services, as this can cause inconveniences.

The best alternative is to use public transportation, especially the BRT. In partnership with Rock in Rio, the Rio city government set up a special BRT Expresso Rock in Rio operation for September 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 11th, 12th, and 13th, with articulated buses circulating through the exclusive corridors of the system in three services.
