The international exhibition "Two Banks" was inaugurated on September 2 at the Centro Cultural António Aleixo, in Vila Real de Santo António. This is the seventh edition of this cross-border project, under the theme "Emotions", which brings together works of painting, sculpture and photography by Portuguese and Spanish artists. The exhibition can be visited until September 21, with hours varying depending on the day of the week.
The show features 18 artists, with Ana Feu as curator. In painting, the participants are Ana Feu, Carla Mourão, Dani Franco, Elisabete Guerreiro, Javi Castulo, Karina Müller, Manuela Santos, Nuria Fuentes, Paulo Gago, Rocio Romero, Rosa Gómez and Triny Pérez. Sculpture is represented by Carlos de Oliveira, Cavuela, João Jesus and Joaquim Correia, while photography includes works by Carmen Carmona and Sonia Balão.
The project has a multidisciplinary character and aims to promote the work of artists from both sides of the border, as well as enhance the activities, landscape and heritage of the territory covered by the Eurocity of Guadiana. Through art, the exhibition seeks to strengthen cultural ties between the Portuguese and Spanish communities, giving visibility to artistic creation and the identity of a territory that shares heritage, landscape and history.
