The first review of Sousel's Municipal Master Plan enters public discussion next Monday, extending for a period of 30 days. This review process is considered crucial to enable the installation of an industrial unit dedicated to biomethane production in the municipality.

The investment associated with this industrial project is estimated at 50 million euros, representing a significant value for the economic development of the Sousel region, situated in the Portalegre district.

The review of the Municipal Master Plan emerges as an essential condition for the industrial project to move forward, as it will be necessary to adapt the urban planning and land use regulations of the municipality to the technical and logistical requirements of a biomethane production facility.
