The Italian olive oil group Coricelli is in advanced negotiations to acquire the Spanish company Deoleo, owner of brands such as Carbonell, Koipe and Hojiblanca. Coricelli is negotiating with a consortium of financial institutions led by UniCredit a bank debt package of 500 million euros to finance the operation. Deoleo is currently in the hands of the British funds CVC and Alchemy, who are the current owners of the company. In addition to Coricelli, there are other buyers interested in Deoleo, namely the Andalusian DCoop, a society formed by olive oil cooperatives that has already presented an offer of 470 million euros, and Acesur, whose offered value has not been revealed.
