The MIMMOS – International Puppet, Masks and Objects Show of Sintra is back between September 11 and 27, with a free admission program aimed at the whole family. The festival takes place in different venues in Agualva, Cacém and Rio de Mouro, in the municipality of Sintra.
Over more than two weeks, the show proposes initiatives that cross tradition, imagination and contemporaneity, through the language of marionettes, masks and scenic objects. The program includes performances, workshops and encounters, with the participation of artists and companies from Portugal and abroad.
In this edition, migrations take a central place in the program. The theme is approached through stories, memories, encounters and new territories, real and imaginary, inviting the public to reflect on one of the most pressing issues of today. The proposals were designed for different age groups and levels of artistic experience.
The festival is organized by Valdevinos Marionette Theater and has the support of the Sintra Municipal Council, reinforcing its role as a space for discovery, dialogue and community participation.
