PCP again demanded the completion of the missing section of Main Itinerary 2 (IP2) near Évora, arguing that the work, suspended since 2011, cannot continue in abandonment. The position was announced by the Board of the Regional Organization of Évora (DOREV), which accuses successive governments of leaving the project unfinished.
In the statement, PCP emphasizes that IP2 is not completed and that it will continue to fight for the completion of the section between the newly inaugurated Eastern Variant of Évora and the remaining route of the road. The party considers the completion of this infrastructure essential for the region.
The section in question has been stalled for more than a decade, without the governments having proceeded with its construction. PCP believes that the situation represents abandonment by the competent authorities and insists on the need to resume the work.
