Miranda do Corvo hosts, between Friday (4) and Sunday (6), a set of cultural, sporting and recreational initiatives, with emphasis on the Tree Fair, in Semide. The fair includes music, folklore, activities related to the nursery sector and entertainment. The program is spread over the three days, covering concerts, dances, sporting activities and initiatives for children.
On Friday (4), the Grupo de Fados Só Entrelinhas and fadista Laura Moita perform, followed by DJ Telo. On Saturday (5), there is a lecture on the nursery sector, the 47th National Folklore Festival at 9:00 PM, a dance with Banda Anarkia and the performance of DJ Damado. The folklore festival brings together Rancho Etnográfico Flores das Cortes, the host, Rancho Folclórico Terras de Geraz do Lima from Viana do Castelo, Rancho Folclórico e Etnográfico A Tileira from Lourosa, Rancho Típico de Ilhéu do Porto and the Regional Folklore Group from Benedita.
Also on Saturday (5), the Parque de Merendas da Mealhada hosts the initiative "Miranda a Brincar" with inflatables, games and activities for children. The association Emterras promotes the 7th Nighttime BTT – Route of the Monastery starting at 6:00 PM, and the Casa das Artes hosts at 9:00 PM the closing concert of the 11th Symphony Orchestra Workshop of the Students' Association of the Artistic School of the Coimbra Music Conservatory, under the direction of maestro Henrique Constância, with soloists Carolina Geraldo and Filipa Freire.
The Tree Fair ends on Sunday (6) with the tractor tour "Rota dos Viveiros" and a concert by Mountain Valley. Praça José Falcão hosts another edition of the Antiques Fair. Until September 25, the exhibition "Timeless Women of the Coimbra Region" remains on display at the Municipal Library Miguel Torga.
