Farense asks for postponement of match against Chaves due to viral outbreak in the squad

RTP Notícias3 September 2026 at 12:00

Farense asked for the postponement of the II Liga match against Desportivo de Chaves, which was scheduled for Sunday. The Algarve team's SAD revealed today to the news agency that the request is due to a viral outbreak affecting the squad of the Algarve team. The information was confirmed by an official source from Farense's sports limited company. The disease outbreak within the team forced the club's direction to request from the competition organizers the rescheduling of the match, in order to allow the affected players to recover before a new attempt to hold the game.
