The transfer market has already closed in the five major European leagues, although it still remains open in countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Brazil. Despite this, Benfica has already made definitive decisions on two players whose future was in doubt: Dodi Lukebakio and Anatoliy Trubin will remain at the club. The encarnada structure evaluated the scenarios for both and decided to keep them in the squad, despite the approaches that emerged in recent weeks.

Dodi Lukebakio came very close to leaving Benfica in the final days of the market. Sunderland put forward a proposal in the region of 20 million euros, while the Belgian winger was also linked to Besiktas. Despite the interest, the Portuguese club chose to keep the 27-year-old player, understanding that Lukebakio can play an important role throughout the season.

Anatoliy Trubin's situation was also evaluated, with approaches emerging in recent weeks and the possibility of securing significant funds from any transfers. However, Benfica's structure decided to keep the goalkeeper in the squad, following the same line of thinking adopted for Lukebakio.
