The Moroccan press reacted with severity to the political storm generated in Spain after the news published by the newspaper El Español about an alleged document from the National Immigration and Borders Center (CENIF) sent to the National Court. The main publications of the Kingdom, including Le360, Alyaoum24, TelQuel, Yabiladi and Hespress, coincided in their response.

The Moroccan media classified the accusations about an alleged involvement of the Moroccan Gendarmerie in the Ceuta migration crisis as a "manipulated and invented" account. According to these publications, such a narrative would have purely partisan objectives in Madrid.

The Sánchez government was indicated as exonerating Rabat from the assault on Ceuta, in a context of diplomatic tension between the two countries. The Moroccan media coverage sought to deny the allegations that pointed to responsibility of the Moroccan authorities in the events.
