In the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães there are around 50 apple producers. José Reixelo has been one of them for approximately 16 years and regularly participates in the local fair, which he considers very important for the activity.
José Reixelo already has his own brand, which he believes helps consolidate his production, which this year is around 800 tons. The producer says it is good for selling and showcasing the brand.
This year was favorable for apple production, since in the previous year he had only 400 tons, thus doubling production. The apple trees are the same, but the bad weather, especially hail, did not affect production during flowering, contributing to a good year with production of good quality.
