The city of Lamego will host on September 12 a community cleanup action called "Fun Clean," organized by Six Senses Douro Valley through the Giving for Good program, with the support of the Municipality of Lamego. The initiative will focus on the area surrounding the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, just a few days after the religious celebrations that annually attract thousands of visitors to the city.
The activity begins at 10:00 AM, with the meeting point at the Churchyard of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, and participation is open to the entire community. The idea is to involve residents, associations, institutions, and volunteers in the collection of waste and the preservation of public spaces.
In addition to the practical cleanup component, the initiative aims to raise awareness among the population about collective responsibility in protecting public spaces and heritage, encouraging more sustainable behaviors in the community.
