Celeirós do Douro hosts, on September 19 and 20, the XIV Traditional Lagarada, an initiative that highlights the harvest, Douro culture and traditions associated with vineyard work. The event is organized by the Parish Council of Celeirós do Douro, the Municipality of Sabrosa and the Douro XXI Association, annually bringing together local population and visitors around gastronomy, local products and ancient wine-making practices.

The most awaited moment will be the traditional grape treading in granite wine presses, accompanied by music and entertainment. Known as the "Capital of Lagaradas," Celeirós do Douro thus returns to recover the communal spirit of the harvest and celebrate a tradition deeply linked to the identity and history of the Douro.

Over the two days, the program includes the performance of Banda Sol Brilhante on Saturday and an ethnographic procession on Sunday, with the participation of confraternities, entertainment groups and residents of the locality.
