The BRT Metropolitano Terminal, located at Trevo das Margaridas, in Irajá, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, began offering a new interstate travel option to São Paulo starting this Friday. The service will be operated by the Penha company, with departures from Sunday to Friday, always at 10 PM.
The route Terminal Margaridas x São Paulo will have the Tietê Bus Terminal in São Paulo as its destination. Before reaching the final destination, the bus makes a stop at the Campo Grande Terminal. In the opposite direction, the bus will depart from Tietê Bus Terminal at 11:20 PM, heading to the BRT Metropolitano Terminal.
The information was disclosed by the City Hall of Rio, through the Municipal Transportation Secretariat (SMTR). According to the publication, this is a long-standing request from residents of the North Zone and Baixada Fluminense. The terminal already integrates 11 lines from six cities in the region.
