One year after the accident at the Glória elevator, in Lisbon, which resulted in the death of 16 people, the families of the victims continue to express deep suffering and indignation. In an open letter addressed to the Lisbon City Council, the relatives accuse the authorities of lack of communication, transparency and support throughout this period.
The families guarantee that they feel completely "forgotten" by the responsible entities. They specifically lament the silence of the authorities and the absence of concrete answers about what happened and what responsibilities were involved in the accident.
The relatives now demand "accountability" from the Lisbon City Council, questioning how the tragedy was managed from the very first moment. The Lisbon city council has not yet commented on the accusations made by the victims' relatives.
