Lisbon Stock Exchange opens in the green led by Galp Energia

The Lisbon Stock Exchange opened Thursday's session, September 3, in positive territory, with a gain of 0.23% to 9,426.84 points. The main European indices started the day in mixed territory, while oil was trading lower.

The biggest gains on the Portuguese stock exchange were led by Galp Energia, which advanced 1.23% to 21.37 euros, followed by EDP Renováveis with 0.97% to 13.47 euros, and by Sonae with 0.49% to 2.04 euros. Also trading in the green were CTT, Altri, EDP, BCP, Mota-Engil, Corticeira Amorim, REN, Teixeira Duarte and NOS.

On the negative side, Semapa fell 0.24% to 20.70 euros, Jerónimo Martins dropped 0.22% to 18.12 euros, and Ibersol broke 0.19% to 10.24 euros. Navigator was also trading in the red.

In Europe, the German DAX rose 0.12%, the French CAC 40 broke 0.05%, and the British FTSE 100 slipped 0.04%. Oil retreated, with brent falling 1.12% to $94.56 and crude down 1% to $90.10. The euro advanced 0.16% against the dollar, to $1.16086.
