Rio de Janeiro offers various entertainment options for children between September 3rd and 9th. The festival Curta na Praça, the Children's Theater Festival at Tijuca Tênis Clube, and Amazon Day at EcoVilla are among the attractions available during the week.
The show "The Adventures of Quitapena" re-premieres this Saturday at Teatro Ruth de Souza in Santa Teresa. The play is inspired by the indigenous oral tradition of Quitapena dolls, known for helping people relieve their worries. Performances take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am, with tickets at R$ 20 (half price), until September 27th.
Also on stage will be the shows "Bento e Totó," Marcela Jardim and Sintonia Dominó. The musical "Andy's Toys," by Cia Teatro de Bolso, inspired by animated characters, is also part of the week's theater programming.
In addition to cultural activities, Rio's BioParque is preparing a special holiday for children, and the 16th edition of Rio Gastronomia 2026 already has ticket sales open. For October, the premiere of "Galinha Pintadinha - The Movie" is planned, a 3D adventure that will hit theaters.
