CBF defines Brazil national team's opponents in November friendly matches

oglobo3 September 2026 at 03:25

The CBF announced on Wednesday (2) the opponents for the Brazilian national team during the November FIFA window. Brazil will face Japan on the 14th at 7:15 AM (Brasília time), and the Singapore national team on the 17th, also at 7 AM. Both matches will be held at the National Stadium in Singapore.

According to the CBF, the choice of Asian opponents was due to restrictions on options for friendly matches. During this November FIFA window, European and African national teams will be in official commitments for their respective confederations. The entity explained that facing Asian teams will "provide the Brazilian national team with matches against different schools of football."

Coach Carlo Ancelotti also commented on the upcoming games. He stated that the friendly matches in Singapore represent "another important step in building the Brazilian National Team for the coming years" and that facing Japan and Singapore will allow observing the team's behavior "in different contexts."
