During the victory over Mirassol on Wednesday, in a delayed match from round 4 of the Brasileirão, Flamengo lost two midfielders to injuries in the first half: Erick Pulgar and Evertton Araújo. Both will be examined by the club's medical department in the coming days, but the initial assessment is that Evertton raises more concerns.
Chilean Pulgar suffered a blow to his right thigh around the 18th minute of the match. He tried to continue playing, but was unable to due to the pain. Coach Leonardo Jardim decided to take him off the field to avoid worsening the situation, which appears to be less severe.
Evertton Araújo, number 52, came on for Pulgar around the 30th minute of the first half, but did not even return from the break. He complained of pain and was substituted by Arrascaeta. According to Flamengo's medical report, Evertton felt discomfort in his left thigh and for that reason left at halftime. The injury to the 20-year-old player worries the coaching staff more.
