Protests against immigration in Ceuta mobilize thousands in Spain

Pt Noticias3 September 2026 at 01:54

Thousands of people protested in Ceuta, Madrid and Barcelona against the migratory crisis affecting Spain. The demonstrations were organized in response to the migratory flow that has been putting pressure on Spanish borders, especially in the city of Ceuta, a Spanish enclave in northern Africa.

The protests counted on the presence of thousands of participants who took to the streets to demonstrate their position on the migratory issue. The mobilization was significant and brought together people in different Spanish cities.

One of the main slogans adopted by the demonstrators was "Make Ceuta Great Again", a reference to the American political slogan, adapted to the local reality. The participants demanded concrete actions from the Spanish government to deal with the situation.

The organizers of the demonstrations seek to pressure authorities to adopt stricter measures regarding migratory policy, evidencing the growth of social tension around the theme of immigration in Spain.

The new political map of Burriana fails to unblock the 2026 budget

The departure of Daniel Gutiérrez from Vox and his move to the group of non-attached councilors has again altered the composition of the Burriana town council. However, this latest change in the plenary does not seem to open, at least for now, the door to a negotiation to approve the 2026 municipal budget, presented at the beginning of the year by the PP executive (which governs in minority with eight councilors) and which continues without the necessary support for its approval.
