BE says Chega's motion fails in the reasons why the Government deserves censure

Now3 September 2026 at 00:24

The Left Bloc considered that the censure motion presented by Chega does not have sufficient grounds to censure the Government. According to the left-wing party, the reasons invoked by Chega to justify the motion are not valid.

Chega announced this Wednesday that it will proceed with the censure motion against the Executive. The decision comes following the controversies involving the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves.

The party led by André Ventura thus intends to take advantage of the controversies surrounding the official to try to overthrow the Government through a censure motion in parliament.

Luís Neves, Minister of Internal Administration, became the center of political attention due to several controversies that motivated Chega's action, although the Left Bloc considers that the arguments presented do not justify a censure of the executive.

The new political map of Burriana fails to unblock the 2026 budget

The departure of Daniel Gutiérrez from Vox and his move to the group of non-attached councilors has again altered the composition of the Burriana town council. However, this latest change in the plenary does not seem to open, at least for now, the door to a negotiation to approve the 2026 municipal budget, presented at the beginning of the year by the PP executive (which governs in minority with eight councilors) and which continues without the necessary support for its approval.
