Alcolumbre comes out in defense of minister and responds to Flavio: 'Now I'm the one blamed for R$ 130 million for a film along with Moraes'

Senate President Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) complained on Wednesday about the criticism he received from senators for not placing on the agenda impeachment requests against Supreme Federal Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes. The pressure for the minister's removal was renewed by opposition parliamentarians after the release of messages between the magistrate and former banker Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master.

When commenting on the matter during a Senate plenary session, Alcolumbre made an indirect reference to the PL presidential candidate, Senator Flavio Bolsonaro (RJ). Alcolumbre stated that he had been the target of "many attacks" in recent days and that, at the appropriate time, he would speak about the matter.

The Senate president criticized the senators attacking him, saying that everyone had forgotten that a sum of R$ 130 million was requested from the same person for the production of a film. According to Alcolumbre, now he and Minister Alexandre de Moraes are the ones to blame for this situation.

Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, made a transfer of US$ 1.6 million to the National Cinematographic Industry Financing Fund (Funcines), as mentioned in the article that appears cut off.

The new political map of Burriana fails to unblock the 2026 budget

The departure of Daniel Gutiérrez from Vox and his move to the group of non-attached councilors has again altered the composition of the Burriana town council. However, this latest change in the plenary does not seem to open, at least for now, the door to a negotiation to approve the 2026 municipal budget, presented at the beginning of the year by the PP executive (which governs in minority with eight councilors) and which continues without the necessary support for its approval.
