Alex Escobar used social media on Wednesday (2) to update followers on his health status after undergoing surgery in early August. The presenter was diagnosed with myasthenia during World Cup coverage and needed surgery to remove a thymus tumor.

In the post, Alex Escobar stated that he still has a path to walk until everything returns to normal, but guaranteed that he will be fine. He revealed having been "in the dark" when he still didn't know what he had, and now, with the diagnosis, trusts the doctors who guide him to overcome the disease.

The presenter also mentioned that he trusts in God and feeds on the love received from various people, including messages from friends, from people he doesn't know personally, from visits, and from the love of his parents, his daughter, his children and his wife, whom he described as his pillar and his fortress.
