Richard Ríos left Benfica after a single season at the club and moved to Al-Ittihad, in Saudi Arabia. The Colombian midfielder was loaned to the Saudi club until June 2027, ending his spell at the Portuguese club.
The 25-year-old player had been signed by Benfica as one of the biggest signings in the club's history, representing a significant investment. Despite the expectations, his season in Lisbon did not meet the initial forecasts.
The transfer to Al-Ittihad represents an important change in Ríos' career, as he exchanges European football for the Saudi league. The Middle Eastern club secured the Colombian's services through a long-term loan.
