Porto Santo football gained a new association with the official presentation of Sport Clube Portosantense 1948. The club was recently formed on the Golden Island and has football as its main objective, although the possibility of embracing other sports in the future is not excluded.
The board of the new club will be led by Hélder Oliveira, former coach of Portosantense. In addition to assuming the presidency, Hélder Oliveira will also serve as football team coach.
The Sport Clube Portosantense 1948 represents a new sports project for the island of Porto Santo, seeking to address the practice of local football through this new associative structure.
