The Football Federation of Piauí (FFP) opened registrations for the 2026 Piauí Women's State Championship. The entity also scheduled refereeing for next week, beginning preparations for the competition.
The women's state championship will have as its main prize a spot in the Brazilian Women's Championship Series A3, scheduled for 2027. Additionally, the winning team will secure participation in the Women's Brazil Cup, also in 2027.
With this, the state tournament becomes a competition of great relevance for women's football in Piauí, offering local teams the opportunity to compete at the national level starting next season.
