Midfielder Beatriz Cameirão, from Reguengos de Monsaraz, was presented as a new player for Sporting's women's football team, signing a contract until 2029. The former Benfica player expressed great happiness for the transfer, stating that she felt the coaching staff valued her and promising to give her best for the "green and white" jersey.
Beatriz Cameirão has extensive experience in the top tier of Portuguese football. She represented Benfica in the last two of a total of five seasons at the club, having also played for Damaiense in 2022/23 and 2023/24. The player revealed that she prefers to play in the number eight position, but can also operate as a number six.
Regarding her playing style, the midfielder explained that she enjoys the defensive process and tactical balances, but above all values the freedom to attack, shoot and move around the pitch that the number eight position provides her.
In her professional career, Beatriz Cameirão has accumulated nine titles: four Portuguese Leagues, two Portuguese Cups and three League Cups.
