Arnel Jakupović is the latest signing for Conquistadores, the nickname of Vitória de Guimarães. The Austrian striker, born in Mistelbach, Austria, began his youth career at FK Austria Wien and completed his development at Middlesbrough's youth academy in England.
In 2016/2017, Jakupović signed for Empoli, the Italian club where he made his Serie A debut. This was followed by a loan to Juventus to represent their under-20 team and a stint at Sturm Graz, returning thus to Austria.
In 2019/2020, the forward transferred to Slovenia to play for Domžale, and later played for Maribor, where he played between 2022/2023 and 2024/2025. It was from that point that he moved to Croatia, representing NK Osijek until this transfer to Vitória.
Throughout his career, Jakupović has represented Austria's under-17, under-19, and under-21 national teams, his country of origin.
