The Tax and Customs Authority is carrying out an inspection operation called "Mar à Vista", which has been taking place since July 29 and continues until September. The operation aims to control the existing concessions on Portuguese beaches.
The inspection is carried out by tax inspectors, with the support of the Maritime Police, which help promote compliance with tax obligations by beach concessionaires.
During the operation, problems related to the issuance of invoices were identified. The inspectors found situations of tax non-compliance by some economic operators acting on the beaches.
The "Mar à Vista" operation comes in the context of the bathing season, a period when commercial activity on the beaches increases significantly, making it necessary to ensure that all operators comply with their obligations to the tax authority.
