The Federal Public Ministry (MPF) and the company Equatorial signed an agreement for investments of R$ 149.5 million in Piauí's electrical grid. The agreement has 2027 as the final deadline.

The negotiation ends a public civil action that had been proceeding for over 15 years in Federal Court. The process was related to issues concerning the electrical service in the state.

The amounts will be destined for improvements in Piauí's electrical infrastructure, focusing on investments that benefit the state's population.

With this agreement, the parties reach a resolution for a long legal dispute that involved the provision of electrical service in the region.
