The Portuguese international central defender Tomás Araújo has renewed his contract with Benfica until June 2031. The new contract will add two years to the previous contract that the player held with the red-and-white club.
The 22-year-old is also the vice-captain of Benfica's first team, demonstrating the importance he has earned within the squad managed by Bruno Lage.
The renewal was announced by the Portuguese Primeira Liga football club itself, reinforcing Benfica's bet on one of its most promising players for the near future.
With this new contract, Tomás Araújo is linked to the Lisbon club for another decade, demonstrating the mutual commitment between the player and the club.
