"The PS is for political stability and will not enable a motion of censure"

The Socialist Party (PS) announced it will not enable a motion of censure against the Government, arguing that its priority is political stability.

The motion of censure was presented by the Chega party, which invoked the controversies surrounding Minister Luís Neves as justification for its initiative.

Commentator Álvaro Beleza, from CNN Portugal, analyzed the situation, highlighting the PS's position of not supporting the motion of censure.

The Government led by Luís Montenegro thus faces a motion of censure that should not prosper, given that the PS, as the main opposition party, decided not to enable it.
