CITE – Commission for Equality in Labour and Employment will promote, on September 18, in Lisbon, an event dedicated to the theme of pay equality. The meeting, titled "Pay Equality: challenges, commitments and future", takes place within the celebrations of International Equal Pay Day.
The event will take place at the Water Museum, more specifically at the Barbadinhos Steam Pumping Station, also in Lisbon. This historic space will host discussions on the challenges and commitments related to pay equality, as well as future perspectives on the theme.
CITE's initiative comes in the context of an ongoing effort to raise awareness in society about the pay gaps between genders that still persist in the labour market. The Commission for Equality in Labour and Employment is the body responsible for promoting equal opportunities and treatment in employment and work in Portugal.
