The Supreme Federal Court (STF) held on Wednesday its first plenary session after the release of a Federal Police report detailing messages exchanged between banker Daniel Vorcaro and Justice Alexandre de Moraes, increasing internal tension at the Court.
The document was produced by order of Justice André Mendonça, rapporteur of the investigations into the Master case, and brings together dialogues that also reference the Attorney General, Paulo Gonet, and the Director-General of the PF, Andrei Rodrigues.
In addition to Mendonça and Moraes, the session was attended by Court President Edson Fachin and Justices Gilmar Mendes, Cristiano Zanin, Dias Toffoli, Flávio Dino, Nunes Marques and Cármen Lúcia.
Although the case was not on the plenary agenda, the revelations about Vorcaro's messages deepened internal disagreements about the conduct of the investigations and once again brought to the fore the tensions among the STF justices.
