JPP considers that 'lack of diagnostic technicians reflects human underinvestment'

The Juntos Pelo Povo (JPP), through deputy Patrícia Spínola, considered that the recent paralysis of several examination rooms and the systematic postponement of urgent and oncological medical procedures are not mere unforeseen events, but rather the direct reflection of a policy based on propaganda and chronic underinvestment in human capital. The party pointed out that the Regional Government and SESARAM administration install with great ceremony new X-Ray equipment in various local health centers, such as in Machico, but without ensuring the necessary human resources to operate them. This situation highlights a gap between the acquisition of equipment and the investment in qualified professionals needed to use them. The JPP criticizes this approach as prioritizing appearances over actual healthcare quality for the population.
