Oni launches partnership program to boost cloud development in Portugal

Jornal Económico2 September 2026 at 17:55

Portuguese operator ONI, brand of the Gigas Group, launched a new partnership program aimed at technology companies, systems integrators, and software manufacturers. The initiative was presented on September 2 and aims to facilitate access to the group's international infrastructure, as well as accelerate the digital transition of Portuguese companies to cloud environments. The company states that the focus comes in a context of growing demand for digital and sovereign cloud services.

The program is divided into two distinct streams. The ICT Channel targets distributors, systems integrators, and technology consulting firms, offering a multilingual portal in Portuguese and Spanish that centralizes commercial management. Partners can autonomously manage their relationship with the end customer or use ONI for technical support, operation, and billing. The SaaS Channel was designed for software manufacturers that want to host or migrate applications without investing in their own infrastructure, including a prior technical analysis and a testing period of up to one month.

ONI makes available to partners its network of nine data centers located in Portugal, Spain, Ireland, Colombia, Chile, and the United States. The program also integrates Datum, the Gigas Group's artificial intelligence solution for SAP environments. Mário Lopes, ONI's commercial director and country manager of the Gigas Group in Portugal, stated that the proposal was structured so that each partner can use ONI according to their specific needs.

The Gigas Group, listed on BME Growth, operates in more than eight countries, employs more than 300 collaborators, and serves more than six thousand business clients. ONI, with more than 30 years of history in the Portuguese market, has been part of the group since 2021 as a brand specializing in B2B connectivity. The operation is based on proprietary technology, including the Gyper hypervisor, and has ENS High Category, ISO/IEC 27001, 27018, 9001, and 14001 certifications, guaranteeing a service availability of 99.99%.
