A 72-year-old German tourist suffered a fall at the hotel where she was staying, in Funchal, resulting in injuries to one of her legs. The incident occurred during her stay on the island of Madeira.
The alert was given to Civil Protection around 4:40 PM, immediately mobilizing a team from the Madeira Voluntary Firefighters to the location. The woman presented with a suspected fracture of one of her lower limbs.
After being dispatched, the firefighters proceeded to assist and immobilize the victim at the accident site. The tourist was then transported by ambulance to Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital in Funchal, where she received medical care.
