Chega delivered on Wednesday a motion of censure against Luís Montenegro's Government. The initiative was announced by the party leader, André Ventura, from Chega's national headquarters. The motion comes because the Prime Minister still has not dismissed the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves.
The far-right party needs the votes of the Socialist Party for the motion of censure to be approved. Without that support, the motion will be rejected.
Should the motion be rejected, André Ventura guarantees that the party will proceed with a Parliamentary Inquiry Committee. The article also mentions that Luís Neves, the targeted minister, stated that he intends to continue governing, resisting the political pressures.
