Line 3 of Guimabus is now free on Fridays, the day when the Retail Fair of Guimarães takes place, from 07:00 to 20:00. The measure aims to facilitate the travel of those visiting the fair, offering a public transport service at no cost during that period, with a passage frequency of 20 to 30 minutes.
The route of Line 3 is circular, connecting the Bus Station, on Alameda, to the Fair Ground, next to the Retail Fair, passing through Azurém and Madre Deus. A complete loop takes about 29 minutes and the bus serves more than two dozen stops, including Conde Margaride, Escola Secundária Francisco de Holanda, University, S. Pedro de Azurém, Largo Madre Deus, Seminary, Paço dos Duques, City Hall, CP Guimarães Station, Guimarães Fair, GuimarãeShopping and Hospital.
On weekdays, a category that includes Friday, the buses operate between 07:00 and 20:00, with departures from the Bus Station every 20 minutes at the beginning of the morning and at the end of the afternoon, and every 30 minutes at midday. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the line remains in operation during the same schedule, but with a wider interval of 40 minutes between departures, from 07:00 to 19:40.
