Brazilian actor and director Gracindo Júnior died at 83 at his home in Rio de Janeiro, after more than six decades of career in theater, television, radio and cinema. His death was confirmed by the artist's son, Pedro Gracindo, to the G1 portal, however the cause of death was not disclosed.
Born in Rio de Janeiro on May 21, 1943, his full name was Epaminondas Xavier Gracindo. He was the son of renowned actor Paulo Gracindo and followed his father's footsteps in Brazilian performing arts, continuing a family tradition in acting.
Gracindo Júnior became known for his participation in the soap opera "Ouro Verde," among other works. Throughout his career, he made his mark both as an actor and as a director in different segments of Brazilian entertainment, accumulating vast professional experience.
