The right and the far-right demonstrated in the European Parliament in solidarity with Ceuta, according to the France-Presse news agency.

Ceuta is a Spanish enclave located in North Africa, with about 84,000 inhabitants. The city became the scene of a migration crisis at the end of July, when a mass entry of migrants from Morocco occurred.

The episode provoked diplomatic tensions between Spain and Morocco, in a context already marked by delicate issues of territorial sovereignty. Ceuta, together with Melilla, are the only land borders of the European Union on the African continent.
