The elections this year will be held on October 4th, in the first round, and on October 25th, in case there is a second round. Voters will choose candidates for five positions: President of the Republic, governor, senator, in addition to federal and state or district deputies.
The first Quaest presidential poll after the start of electoral propaganda on TV and radio, hired by newspaper O GLOBO and Globo, showed President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) with 37% of voting intentions in the first-round simulation.
Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) appeared next with 30% of voting intentions, occupying second place in the poll. The survey also indicated that writer Augusto Cury (Avante) grew significantly, surpassing the other candidates and reaching third position.
Augusto Cury, who had already jumped from 2% to 10% of votes according to a previous poll, consolidated his position among the main candidates for President of the Republic according to the most recent Quaest poll.
