Russia is secretly helping Iran develop its own supersonic cruise missile program, according to an investigation published by the Financial Times newspaper. The program, called C430L, began in 2023 and has been proceeding without public knowledge for over a year.
The main targets of these missiles would be aircraft carriers and other American warships deployed throughout the Middle East region, according to the publication.
The Financial Times indicates that the missiles have not yet been deployed, meaning they are still in the development phase and are not operational. The collaboration between the two countries represents a deepening of military cooperation between Moscow and Tehran.
