The Quaest presidential poll, published on Wednesday (2), revealed that President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) leads voting intentions in the first round with 37%, followed by Senator Flavio Bolsonaro (PL), with 30%.
This is the first survey to capture voters' reactions to the hearings held by TV Globo the previous week, which addressed topics such as the investigations into the Master Case and the three inquiries opened by the Federal Police against Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, known as Lulinha, the president's son.
The poll also showed that, in a possible second-round scenario, Lula and Flavio Bolsonaro remain in a technical tie, with a minimal difference of only one percentage point. The PT candidate registers 42% of voting intentions, against 41% for the PL rival.
The damage caused by the revelations about the investigations involving Lulinha did not significantly alter Lula's government approval rating, which remained stable according to the survey.
