The Chamber of Deputies approved, on Tuesday (the 1st), in the Plenary, a bill that doubles the period of non-military work years for the calculation of service time by military police officers and firefighters, that is, the sum of contributions to be considered for retirement.
The substitute to the Bill (PL) 241/2023 was presented by the rapporteur of the Committee on Social Security, Social Assistance, Childhood, Adolescence and Family, and was approved in a single round, in a semi-presential extraordinary deliberative session.
The substitute to the proposal had already received a favorable report from the Committee on Public Security and Combatting Organized Crime. In April of this year, an urgency request was approved to accelerate its processing in the House.
Now, the bill will be sent to the Federal Senate for new analysis and voting.
