Quaest: Half of Augusto Cury's voters can still change their vote, survey indicates

oglobo2 September 2026 at 14:39

The first Quaest survey conducted after the start of electoral propaganda on radio and television, commissioned by the newspaper O GLOBO and Globo, was released on this Wednesday. The poll places Augusto Cury, candidate of Avante for President, in isolated third place in the race, with 10% of voting intentions in the first round.

The two leaders of the presidential race are Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, with 37%, and Senator Bolsonaro, with 30%. According to the survey, Cury's voters show greater fluidity compared to supporters of the candidates leading the race.

The survey indicates that 48% of voters who express the intention to vote for Augusto Cury said they could change their choice by October. Another 52% reported that the decision is definitive. Considering the margin of error of two percentage points, the numbers represent a technical tie.

The data are part of the first Quaest survey after the institute's last report, released on August 14, when the dynamics of the presidential race began to change with the start of electoral propaganda.
